Tip #13: Stop Assuming People Won't Want to Give

Too many donations have sat unrealised because someone assumed a person wasn’t able or willing to give. Making this assumption is the quickest way to kill a potential donation, because when you assume someone won’t want to give – you don’t even bother asking.

Next time you find yourself making this assumption (and we all do it), STOP, and do your homework. There is usually more to a potential donor than meets the eye..
