Good things grow when people connect.
We are the environmental hub for Manawatū & surrounds.
Connecting people, strengthening organisations and enabling collective action for a thriving region.
We bring together people who care about the environment with the groups, resources and opportunities that need them, so they can grow their impact.
Across Manawatū and the surrounding regions, hundreds of people and organisations are working to protect biodiversity, grow local food systems, reduce waste and respond to climate challenges.
Whether you want to volunteer, find your local community garden, apply for funding or grow your environmental group’s reach, ENM can connect you with groups and initiatives that are making a difference.
Our Pou
ENM works across four key areas where collaboration and community action can make the biggest difference.
Biodiversity.
Food Sovereignty.
Circular Economy.
Climate Action.
Biodiversity protection and enhancement focuses on preserving and restoring the natural environment in our region.
Learn moreCommunity food sovereignty is about ensuring that communities have the right to healthy, culturally appropriate food that is grown locally and sustainably.
Learn moreReducing waste, extending the life of resources and building a local economy that works with nature, not against it.
Learn moreClimate action looks like people learning to live more sustainably, organisations reducing their emissions, advocates pushing for better policy, and neighbours building the kind of resilience that helps communities weather whatever comes.
