Field Trip: Midwinter at Ruapehu
Jun 16th - All Day
Jun 17th - All Day
Forest & Bird Lodge, Whakapapa Village
Kids, bring your parents to celebrate mid-winter on Mt Ruapehu for a weekend! The Kiwi Conservation Club have booked the Forest and Bird lodge for their annual mid-winter excursion, and it is always a great weekend, whatever the weather. If there is snow, they will make a trip to the ski field to throw some snowballs and go sledding. They will also go for a wander on one of the many tracks to take in the scenery, and have plenty of time for board games and good food.
Cost is $20 per person for accommodation for the Friday and Saturday night. Babies/toddlers that don’t require their own bunk are free. The trip runs from whenever you arrive on Friday until pack up time on Sunday afternoon.
This trip fills up fast so get in touch if you want to book a space for your family. Email Rachel or phone 06 356 5519.
