Greasy Chain Charitable Trust AGM

Aug 1, 2024, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

The Greasy Chain Charitable Trust is holding it’s AGM on Thursday st of August  and all are invited.

Our AGM’s are a little different in that they provide an opportunity for the community to put forward ideas on how the Trust can further progress our ideals of having more people cycling.  You can see our four core principles at https://greasychain.com/about/

In addition to the required governance items, the key focus of the AGM will be to prioritise the items for the Trust to progress that were generated at the 2023 AGM:

1)      Cycling infrastructure improvement

2)      Activities to get more people cycling

3)      Raising the profile of cycling in the Manawatū

4)      Promoting better integration between motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians

5)      Getting more people commuting by bike to work and school

6)      Encouraging organisations to actively support their staff to commute

7)      Making the Manawatū the “Cycling Capital of New Zealand”

8)      Having more people take up the sport of cycling

Whilst we’ve done some good work on some of these, we now need your input and support to ensure we are working on the things that are most important for the community.

Please spare a couple of hours on Thursday 27th June to give us your thoughts, suggestions and opinions.

Date: Thursday 1st August 2024, 5:15 for 5:30PM

Venue: The Globe Theatre, Palmerston North.

Please r.s.v.p. to Matt van Wagtendonk at greasychain.manawatu@gmail.com so that we can provide a little bit of sustenance to keep the creative juices flowing!
